Apple accuses Android brand of trade secret theft over wearables (Update: Response)

- Apple is suing OPPO, accusing the company of stealing Apple Watch trade secrets through a former employee.
- Engineer Chen Shi allegedly downloaded 63 confidential files and shared research details with OPPO before leaving Apple.
- OPPO has since issued a statement in response to the lawsuit.
Update: August 25, 2025 (1:07 AM ET): OPPO has now issued an official statement addressing Apple’s legal filing against it and a former Apple employee.
