Google will finally launch the Pixel 10 series next month, and leakers have apparently already revealed all the colors. These shades include Obsidian and Porcelain, with Lemongrass and Indigo adding a much-needed splash of color.

So we thought now would be a good time to choose our favorite Google Pixel phone colors ever. I asked the Android Authority team to choose their favorite shades, tallied their choices, and created this list. Do note that we excluded the Pixel-A series and Pixel Fold line. Do you agree with our choices? Let us know your favorite Pixel colors in the comments!

I’m using Samsung’s Voice Recorder to avoid this app’s premium plan

I can’t be alone in wishing I’d kept a journal over the years. I’d love to reflect on what I was up to on certain days 20 years ago and how I was processing it all. Other than a few batches of photos and my increasingly fading memory, the records of my various travel adventures have mostly been lost. And those were the exciting times — the humdrum days in between have been almost entirely condemned to the mists of time.

I don’t beat myself up about not keeping a journal because I know I wouldn’t have stuck with it. Having to sit down and write or type for 15 minutes in the evening would have fallen by the wayside pretty quickly. But recent advances in AI have made me rethink this. Now, belatedly, I’m journaling every day. It takes around two minutes before bed each night to do it via Samsung Voice Recorder, and I even realized I can use it to avoid the premium plan on one of the best journaling apps.

Why I pick flexible charging over raw speed every single time

Regular Android Authority readers will know I’m a stickler for brilliant battery life backed up by proper fast charging. And by that, I don’t necessarily mean the faster the better, a battery needs to remain cool too. Instead, one of my top requirements for any phone that claims to charge quickly is that it has to be able to do so regardless of what plug you have at hand. It’s absolutely no good to anyone to boast 100W charging from a specific plug, only for your power banks to trickle in the juice when you need it most.

Fortunately, brands are improving support for the most common charging standards. However, there are holdouts, particularly among the larger names. Apple is stubbornly fixed to sub-25W charging, as are Samsung’s non-Ultra flagships, while Google’s Pixel 9 Pro XL requires a rare protocol to achieve its hardly groundbreaking 37W power level.

Anker 548 Power Bank hits record-low price: Portable, powerful, and works as a lantern

Anker 548 Power Bank

The Anker 548 Power Bank is a very interesting type of battery. As you can see in the image, it looks nothing like a standard battery pack, but it’s also much smaller than a power station. This one aims to fall somewhere in the middle, making it a great option for short camping trips, quick power outages, and weekend adventures. If you’re interested, it’s also at its all-time low price of just $89.99 right now.

  • Some shoppers have noticed that Galaxy Z Fold 7 demo units in stores aren’t opening fully flat, sparking concerns online.
  • Other users, including our team, report no such issues, suggesting this might be limited to specific demo units.
  • Samsung’s updated hinge design could still fall within the 178.5–181.5 degree opening range, but we’re awaiting official confirmation and durability specs.

A number of shoppers are reporting that Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 demo units in retail stores aren’t opening completely flat. The discussion started on Reddit (spotted by Android Central), where a user posted a photo showing a Fold 7 with a noticeable bend (see below), far from the flat profile they expected to see.

  • Samsung’s MultiStar app now offers a so-called FlipShot feature on Galaxy Z Flip phones.
  • This feature will show “stylish photos and messages” on the cover display when you’re taking a selfie with the rear cameras.
  • The Good Lock app also lets users add a custom image to their cover screen, but we’re not sure what this means.

Samsung has just launched the Galaxy Z Flip 7 series and Galaxy Z Fold 7, which are the first Galaxy devices with the One UI 8 upgrade. Now, the company’s older foldables are getting a cover screen upgrade thanks to Good Lock.

Samsung updated its MultiStar module with a so-called FlipShot feature (h/t: SammyGuru) for Galaxy Z Flip phones. This feature displays “stylish photos and messages on the cover screen of Flip devices” when you take selfies with the rear cameras. Check out our screenshots below.
